Hubris Communications of Garden City has been selected to design and host the official internet presence of the U.S. China Business Council. The site is now complete and was opened to the public January 26, 1998.
The United States - China Business Council is the principal organization of U.S. companies engaged in trade and investment in the People's Republic of China. Founded in 1973, the Council serves more than 300 corporate members through offices in Washington, D.C., Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. The council also publishes The China Business Review, the world's leading journal of China trade and investment.
Chris Owen, owner of Hubris Communications, said he was proud of the selection by the Council. "Being selected to design and host the Council's presence is a real honor for us. The selection process was one of the more competitive we've experienced. Our proposal was selected over those of a number of much larger Washington, D.C. and New York design firms. Both we and the Council are very pleased with the results."
The U.S. China Business Council joins a number of other prominent nonprofit organizations hosted by Hubris Communications. These include the Council on Foreign Relations, Foreign Affairs Magazine, the Overseas Development Council and B'nai B'rith. All of these national and international organizations call Garden City their virtual home.
